Dr. Barbara Pierce earned her B.S from St. Joseph’s University (Philadelphia), M.S.S. and M.L.S.P. from Bryn Mawr College, and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Her areas of research interest include child welfare workforce issues, trauma education, teaching and learning, and rural social work. Dr. Pierce teaches graduate courses in child welfare and trauma, practice evaluation, and philosophy of science. She is the PI for the Indiana NCWWI grant and is an active program evaluator.
